Shooting Location
The Shooting Location Tech Scouting Checklist ensures safe and smooth shoots. It includes photos to assess potential dangers, accessibility issues, and specific location needs. By identifying concerns beforehand, the crew can make necessary preparations to minimise risks and ensure a successful shoot; for example, trip hazards are inside the abandoned buildings in my film.
Film Risk Assessment Form
The Film Risk Assessment Form is a detailed safety plan for filming at a specific location. It identifies potential risks and outlines measures to reduce or eliminate them, prioritising the safety of everyone involved. It serves as a location-specific safety blueprint. For example, slipping and sharp objects.
Location Release Form
The Location Release Form permits film crews to use a location with the owner's consent. It protects against legal claims and outlines rights and responsibilities. For example, my film allows us to film on the land without the possibility of legal action.
Rights Release Form
The Rights Release Form is important for actors and production teams to avoid legal conflicts. It grants permission to use actors’ performances and covers compensation and other rights. (Film: When filming the main actor, they have no legal right to take action against us.)
Music And Sound
Our film's music and sound effects will be original or royalty-free to avoid copyright issues. This protects the legal rights of artists and creators.
Avoiding Copyright Claims
We’ll avoid using copyrighted visuals in the movie by checking for branded products and removing accidental captures during post-production.
Ethical Issues
We prioritise ethical standards in filmmaking, avoiding harmful or misleading depictions of weapons or substances. We approach sensitive topics carefully and strive for diverse
and accurate representation in casting and narrative choices. Our goal is to create socially responsible and entertaining films.
